Ubika started her professional stint with Nangia & Co-LLP and is associated with the Firm since June 2011. A qualified Chartered Accountant (passed in 2011), Ubika holds a degree in LL.B and has also completed her degree in MBA and MLST from the University of San Francisco, California. With over 14 years of experience in Indirect Taxes, she has been assisting both multinational and domestic clients across various industries in resolving complex issues in Indirect Taxes.
Her key competencies include providing advisory, compliance, and litigation support services, structuring of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction/Commissioning contracts for MNCs including companies located in SEZ and GIFT City. Ubika has vast experience in drafting replies to show cause notices and appeals filed before Commissioner (Appeals) and representing clients before various judicial fora. She is also experienced in conducting Health Check reviews and due diligence, assisting clients in audits conducted by various Authorities, and handling tax refund/rebate matters for exporters, BPOs etc.
